Zengain analytics for SaaS customers are driven by Events received from client applications.
For desktop and on-premises applications, an SDK is used vs. a snippet.
As you can see from the flow diagram, Zengain captures events from your web pages and back end to drive the analytics we use.
Zengain then processes these events as captured and converts them into useful signals for the sales team.
The product team engages with Zengain when configuring it to show the best results for your specific situation, i.e., what are your engagement criteria?
An Event is received as an HTTP request to the Events API. It then gets processed by the system:
Every 15 minutes, outstanding events are recognized, subscriptions/users are added if they do not exist, and the event becomes visible in Zengain in the User Activity Drawer.
Every night at 3/4 am UTC, user engagement scores and product engagement statistics are calculated and saved for the past day (by UTC).
User Engagement scores for the past day are visible in Zengain in the User Activity Drawer.
Engagement levels are calculated via our insights engine.
When a new user is detected within the event activity, that user will be created as a new end user attached to the customer.
