Using the Audit Log

Download the log

As you can see from the options, one of the first things you can do is download the log from the top menu and then review the audit history in CSV format (Audit log.csv).

Review the transactions log:

The transaction list can be reviewed and sorted based on these key elements:

  1. Date - timestamped date and time of the action

  2. Object - the database object, such as "customer", that is being modified

  3. Object ID - the internal reference to that object

  4. Operation - what was done to the object i.e,. update the object

  5. Author - who performed the change

  6. No. of Changes - how many changes were made at this time

Clicking on the transaction record shows you the details of the changes, including these details:

  1. Element - what part of the object data was changed

  2. Suboperation - what was done to the element

  3. Old Value - previous value before the edit

  4. New Value - the new value in its place

If there are more edits, each is listed line by line, allowing you to see the granular changes in detail.
