Offline Activation Portal (standalone)
The standalone Offline Activation Portal provides a streamlined solution for activating and deactivating software licenses on machines without internet connectivity.
Offline Activation and Deactivation functionality is available in two places in the system:
Offline Activation page in End User Portal
Stand-alone Offline Activation Portal (as referenced below)
Selecting the right approach depends on your business needs.
Purpose
Offline Activation allows you to activate software licenses on machines without internet connectivity by using activation tokens generated from the software. This is particularly useful for:
Air-gapped systems in secure environments
Machines with restricted internet access
Field deployments without reliable connectivity
Compliance requirements that prohibit internet connections
Prerequisites for a user to use the Offline Activation Portal
Before using the Offline Activation Portal to activate a license, the user should ensure that:
Software has been installed on the target machine
Offline Activation Portal is available on an internet-connected device
Software license or subscription is valid
That user has permissions to activate the software on the target machine
Accessing the Offline Activation Portal (standalone)
The Offline Activation Portal can be accessed via the following URL format:
domainName.activation.nalpeiron.io/activation
Where domainName
is your organization's specific domain identifier.
Offline Activation Process

Step 1: Generate Activation Request
Launch the software on your offline machine
Navigate to the activation or licensing section within the software interface
Select "Generate Offline Activation Request" or a similar option (the exact wording may vary by software)
The software will generate an activation request token - this is a long string of encoded characters
Save this token to a file or copy it to the clipboard for transfer to an internet-connected device
Important: Ensure the activation token is copied completely without any truncation or additional characters.
Step 2: Submit Activation Request
Open this Offline Activation Portal on an internet-connected device
Navigate to the "Offline Activation" tab in the portal interface
Choose one of two methods to submit your activation request:
Method A: Upload Token File
Click the "Upload Token File" button
Select the token file generated by your software
The system will automatically populate the activation request field
Verify that the token appears correctly in the text area
Method B: Manual Token Entry
Paste the activation token directly into the large text area
Ensure the entire token is copied without truncation
Verify that no extra spaces or characters are included at the beginning or end
The token should appear as a continuous string of alphanumeric characters

Step 3: Process Activation
Click "Submit Activation Token" after ensuring your token is properly entered
The system will validate your request and process the activation
Upon successful processing, you'll see an "Activation successful!" message
Download or copy the activation confirmation using one of the provided options:
Copy to Clipboard: Copies the activation data for manual transfer
Download Activation Confirmation: Downloads a file containing the activation data

Step 4: Complete Activation on Offline Machine
Return to your offline machine with the activation confirmation
In the software's activation dialog, select "Activate offline" or a similar option
Import the activation data using one of these methods:
Import the downloaded activation file directly
Paste the activation response if using the clipboard method
Complete the activation process as prompted by the software
Verify that the software is now properly activated and licensed
Offline Deactivation Process

The portal also supports offline deactivation for license management:
Step 1: Generate Deactivation Request
Launch the software on the machine you want to deactivate
Navigate to the licensing section and select deactivation options
Generate a deactivation confirmation token from the software
Save or copy this deactivation token
Step 2: Submit Deactivation Request
Navigate to the "Offline Deactivation" tab in the portal
Upload the deactivation file or paste the deactivation confirmation token
Click "Submit Deactivation Confirmation"
The system will process the deactivation and free up the license for use elsewhere

Troubleshooting
Token Validation Errors
Ensure the complete token is copied without truncation
Check for extra spaces or line breaks in the token
Verify the token was generated from the correct software version
Activation Unsuccessful
Confirm you have available license seats
Verify the software version matches your license entitlements
Check that the license hasn't expired
Verify that the entitlement includes an offline lease period configuration
File Upload Issues
Ensure the token file is in the correct format
Try using manual token entry instead of file upload
Verify the file wasn't corrupted during transfer
Best Practices
Token Security: Treat activation tokens as sensitive data - they contain licensing information
File Management: Keep activation confirmations for your records
License Tracking: Document which machines have been activated for license compliance
Regular Maintenance: Deactivate licenses from machines no longer in use to free up seats
Technical Notes
Activation tokens are time-sensitive and should be processed promptly after generation
Each activation token can only be used once
The system validates tokens against your current license entitlements
Activation confirmations contain machine-specific binding information
