FastSpring

The integration between Zentitle2 and FastSpring is designed to provide a seamless experience for customers, from purchase to activation, in less than 10 seconds. The partnership between Nalpeiron's Zentitle2 and FastSpring unites world-class licensing and e-commerce for a powerful customer experience. The integration with FastSpring adds speed that simplifies the whole purchasing and licensing process.
Here’s a summary of the FastSpring integration in Zentitle 2 — what it enables, its benefits, and things to watch out for:
What the FastSpring Integration Enables
You connect your Zentitle 2 account with FastSpring (an e-commerce/store platform).
When a customer buys a product (or subscription) in your FastSpring store, FastSpring will send a “Generate License” fulfillment request to Zentitle 2 to issue the entitlement/activation.
The integration is based on matching SKUs: the product in FastSpring must include a SKU corresponding to a Zentitle offering, so Zentitle can know which entitlement to create.
You configure the integration by providing a private key, the Zentitle integration endpoint URL, and the tenant ID to FastSpring’s fulfillment setup.
FastSpring supports this for both one-time products and subscriptions (so the integration works for recurring purchases, too).
A “Test” feature in FastSpring lets you verify that sending an SKU creates a correct license/entitlement in Zentitle before going live.
Benefits of Using the FastSpring + Zentitle 2 Integration
Fast Time-To-Activation From purchase to license delivery, it can happen in as little as ~10 seconds (per the documentation). This gives customers a smooth, nearly instantaneous experience.
Unified E-Commerce + Licensing Workflow You don’t need custom bridging logic or middleware; FastSpring handles checkout and then automatically calls Zentitle to fulfill the license.
Clean SKU-to-Offering Mapping Because the SKU ties the purchase to a specific Zentitle offering, there is less ambiguity or error in the license that is issued.
Support for Multiple Product Types Works for both non-subscription (one-time purchases) and subscription products, so your licensing model remains consistent across product types.
Built-In Testing & Validation The ability to test SKU fulfillment ensures you can catch configuration or mapping errors before customers see them.
Reduced Operational Overhead Automating license issuance avoids manual steps, helps eliminate mistakes, and frees up your operations or dev team from handling activation logic.
